Gandhinagar: Out of 19 names declared for India’s squad for third and fourth test cricket match against Australia, five are from Gujarat.

The team members declared today were Virat Kohli, M Vijay, KL Rahul, Pujara, Rahane, Vihari, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Parthiv Patel, R Ashwin, Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd Shami, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav,Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya, Mayank Agarwal.

Of them Pujara, Parthiv Patel, Jadeja, Hardik Pandya and Bumrah belong to Gujarat.

There was a time when Mumbai or sometimes Karnataka and Delhi would dominate the Indian cricket team. So many Gujarat boys shining in Indian cricket team at same time is something to be noted with proud.
