Lack of regular dredging may result into discontinuation of Dahej – Ghogha ropax ferry service

Bharuch: It is learnt that Indigo Seaways, a private operator which runs Dahej – Ghogha ro-pax ferry service has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi complaining about lack of regular dredging by the State government arm Gujarat Maritime Board(GMB). The company has conveyed that in absence of regular dredging it is impossible to continue the ro-pax ferry service regularly. The company has conveyed that it is very essential to avail 5 meter draft to run the ship and there’s a situation of zero sounding in 300 meter terminal circle at Dahej and Ghogha.
