Muslims’ condition in Gujarat best in entire India, maximum number of Haj pilgrims from Gujarat: Rupani

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today dedicated State Wakf Board’s renovated Citizens Charter office her today. The Board coordinates 12,000 trusts functioning in the state.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that BJP Government in the state has been providing good governance in the state for the last 23 years. There has not been a single communal incident since BJP came to power.

Rupani said that the government’s only agenda is development of 6.50-crore Gujaratis with ‘sabka sath, sabka vikas’, to rise above religious, caste and vote bank politics to ensure social equanimity and brotherhood, to provide a compassionate and transparent governance with ‘justice to all, appeasement to none’.

Quoting Sachar Commission report, he said that condition of Muslims in Gujarat is the best in entire India, while the previous Congress governments used them as vote bank for 50 years, being responsible for their educational and economic backwardness. Maximum numbers of Haj pilgrims are from Gujarat.

Rupani also dedicated a hearse to Surat’s Ekta Trust on the occasion.

Education Minister Bhupendainh Chudasma paid his tributes to late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary today.
