Rahul Gandhi “caught lying” about Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2019; Vijay Rupani hits back, shows him truth

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today hit back as Congress president Rahul Gandhi tweeted:

“At the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2019, cynical sponsors no longer want to associate themselves with an event presided over by NoMo. They have left the stage, the way he likes it…”

Rahul put a link of a news article published in Indian Express in his tweet containing British envoy’s statement that U.K was not partnering Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2019.

Chief Minister Rupani was quick enough to tweet:

Such a shameless liar you are Rahul Gandhi. This time Vibrant Gujarat is seeing even more participation. Here are the facts: https://t.co/BWYLWDF6Bt

Rupani put link of DeshGujarat article quoting Rupani earlier this month about 16 countries participating Vibrant Gujarat Summit edition 2019 against previous record of partnership by around 10 countries.

Rupani also tweeted:

The glee in your tweet shows how desperate you are to see Gujarat fail.

Gujaratis recognise your hatred for the state and have continuously rejected the Congress & will keep doing so! #RaGaJhoothKiMachine

It’s worth noting that while countries partering Vibrant Gujarat Summits keep changing edition-by-edition as per the theme and focus area of the summit, the number keep going high. While in the previous editions there were around 10 countries partnering Vibrant Gujarat summits, this time the number is 16 so far.

Rahul Gandhi and Congress party have always criticized the Vibrant Gujarat Summits that Narendra Modi initiated as Chief Minister of Gujarat way back in 2003 to attract investment. However in geat contradiction, Congress ruled states have themselves in recent years started adopting the Vibrant Gujarat Summit model.
