Gandhnagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani has decided today that teaching staff of Gujarat Government’s universities and its affiliated government and private granted colleges would be given pay benefits as per the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission of the Central Government on revised scale-to-scale basis with effect from January 1, 2019.

While due arrears amount payable for the period between 1st January-2016 and31stDecember-2018 will be paid as per the state government’s order, but, only after amount of difference received from the Central Government.

It is necessary to point out here that the total arrears for the period between date: 1/1/2016 and 31/3/2019 is Rs.904.21-crore. Of this, 50 % amount (Rs. 452.11-crore) is to be receivable from the Central Government.
