CM Rupani hits back at Ahmed Patel for his statements about Mahagathbandhan and Vibrant Gujarat

Kagwad (Rajkot): Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani today hit-back at Congress leader Ahmed Patel for his remarks about BJP, Mahagathbandhan (grand-alliance) and Vibrant Gujarat.

Talking to newsmen here Rupani said that Mahagathbandhan was an alliance of corrupt parties and those who had damaged the country.

‘What are you talking Ahmedbhai. The real reason behind the alliance of such people and parties who earlier did not liked to even see the faces of one another. Was the alliance of Akhilesh Yadav of Samajwadi Party and Mayawati of BSP ever possible. They all have united due to the fear of Modi. The people of the country are seeing all these. The nation is to take a call that in the coming days (LS polls), whether this Mahagathbandhan pf corrupts or the dry honest PM like Modi ji would win,’ he said.

Notably, Patel had earlier in Ahmedabad said that PM Modi and BJP has become scared of the Mahagathbandhan. It was being reflected in his re body language and recent statements. Patel had also questioned the efficacy of Vibrant Gujarat summits saying that had it been effective and there would have been enough of investment through it there won’t have been unemployment or poor plight of farmers and other sections of the society in the state.

In a reply to this allegation Rupani said that Congress did not have the understanding of it as it never tried for the development of the state during its rule.

‘What was the situation of today’s Industrial belts of Sanand, Becharaji and Kutch etc 15 years back when Vibrant Gujarat summits were yet to be held. The root cause of the development of such areas and employments thus caused were VG summits. Today more than 1 lakh delegates from 135 countries participated in it. Why would they come if it was not an effective event,’ he said.
