Gandhinagar: The official website of Gujarat Congress today described the party as the “oldest and largest political party in India who looted India for 70 years.”

“Become a part of the oldest and largest political party in India who looted India for 70 years. Originally founded by the British rulers in the country, the party evolved into the natural party of thugs after independence and a custodian and champion of anti nationalizm,” the message could be read on Join Now section of website.

The party, however, later rectified the error and changed the text. “Become a part of the oldest and largest political party in India. Originally founded to organize the fragmented Indian resistance to British rule in the country, the party evolved into the natural party of governance after independence and a custodian and champion of the values espoused by the country’s founding fathers.”

After a while, the landing page of the section ‘Join Now’ was excluded from the website.

However, through google web cache, the content inserted against the interest of party was still visible (as on 12.30 pm).

Update: Another section of Gujarat Congress website has been found with presence of suspicious content. ‘Ideology’ section of the website shows a photograph of Congress president Rahul Gandhi with UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi along with a caption – Maa Beta.
