Rupani clears Rs. 596.34 crore for development projects in 24 towns/cities of Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani today approved grants worth Rs. 596.34-crore for developmental projects for six municipal corporations such as Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, Junagadh and Gandhinagar – and as many as eighteen nagarpalikas of the state.
These developmental infrastructural projects included drinking water supply, underground sewerage system, railway over-bridges and under-bridges, traffic signals, nagar-beautification, roads and streetlights, and others.

The cleared grants included Rs. 153.11-Cr for water supply, Rs. 62.23-Cr for Railway over-bridges and under-bridges, Rs. 344.36-Cr for underground sewerage system, Rs. 8.56-Cr for beautification projects, Rs. 8.58-Cr for Roads and Streetlights, and Rs. 19.50-Cr for traffic signals and integrated command control centers.

For the water supply, the Chief Minister has allocated Rs. 1.29-cr to Bhayavadar nagarpalika, Rs. 4.88-Cr to Jamraval nagarpalika, Rs. 11.68-cr for Kadodara nagarpalika, Rs. 62.26-Cr for Surat, and Rs. 61-cr to Vadodara for setting up 50 MLD new water treatment plant and Rs. 12-cr for recently added outgrowth areas into Vadodara.

Rupani has cleared grant of Rs. 18-cr for setting up international standard integrated command and control center and upgrading of fire-brigade in Gandhinagar.

Of the cleared underground sewerage projects in total worth Rs. 344.36-Cr, included Rs. 15-cr for outgrowth areas of Vadodara, Rs. 43.32-cr for Botad nagarpalika, Rs. 99.62-cr for Gandhidham nagarpalika, Rs. 88.74-cr for Mangarol nagarpalika, Rs. 64.75-cr for Modasa nagarpalika and Rs. 17.56-cr for Rajpipla nagarpalika.
