Jet Airways cancels both flights connecting Bhuj to Mumbai

Facing grave money crisis, private air operator Jet Airways has cancelled the flights connecting Mumbai and Bhuj. With this there’s no more air connectivity between Mumbai and Kutch available.
Jet Airways was operating two flights per day between Mumbai and Bhuj – one in the morning and the other in the evening. A few days ago, Jet had cancelled evening flight on this route. Last week, Jet has also cancelled its morning flight till further notice. Online booking is also closed for both flights.
Those who were relying on Jet Airways flight for connecting international journey are now finding alternatives such as air journey via Rajkot or Ahmedabad.
Bhuj has now only weekly Air India flight connectivity left as an option to travel to Mumbai. Air India flight operates once in a week on Monday through a 65-sitter aircraft.
As on March 18, Jet Airways has cancelled large number of flights, of which some of Gujarat connecting flights that are cancelled include S2 329 Mumbai – Ahmedabad and 9W310 Vadodara – Bengaluru. Tomorrow S2 687 Ahmedabad – Delhi will stay cancelled.
In related news developing today, the Jet-Etihad deal has come to an impasse. Lenders have informed Etihad Airways to exit the deal if they are unable to agree to their terms so that a new investor can be brought in for negotiations.
