Don’t be overconfident, control your tongue: Rupala to party cadres in Gujarat

Surat: Don’t be overconfident, lazy and complacent, BJP leader and union minister of state Parshottam Rupala told BJP cadres at Vijay Sankalp Sammelan in Surat.
‘I receive messages (on social media) that swearing-in of Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be held straight away without holding election.’
‘There’s good atmosphere, people are excited so as the voters and new voters but there should not be an atmosphere of overconfidence. We can’t afford even slightest overconfidence or laziness,’ he said.
Rupala also advised party cadres to control their tongues.
‘Like one needs to surrender your weapons (at police station) ahead of elections, you also should surrender your tongue ahead of elections. You pass one negative remark and your party leaders are busy giving explanations for your remark,’ Rupala said.
‘Don’t indulge self in discussions of national politics. You don’t need to worry about what’s happening in Bengal. You just need to take care of voters in 25-30 houses in your locality,’ Rupala said.
