Congress got least number of seats in 2014, and now contesting least number of seats in 2019, no-one would go along with those who are sinking: PM in Amreli
April 18, 2019
Amreli: Speaking at Amreli in Saurashtra region of Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today morning in a campaign rally said, ‘Since independence, the Congress party won least number of seats in 2014. They were down from 400 to just 40. It was a new record low for Congress. This happened because you gave all 26 seats to BJP. It was the lowest in their history. Now since independence, it is 2019 when Congress is contesting least number of seats. This is a power of a chaiwala from Gujarat. We cornered Congress to 40 seats, least number of seats and now they are contesting in lowest number of seats. And the party which is contesting least number of seats claims, it will form govt in Centre. No one would be ready to go along with those who are sinking. If someone comes to you to seek money and his track record is bad, you would not lend money. You would say, you are sinking, we don’t want to sink with you.’
