Honda 2Wheelers India to develop water reservoirs in Vithalapur

Vithalapur: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) initiative, Honda 2Wheelers India today in a statement said it has started the development of water conservation reservoir in Vithalapur, Ahmedabad.
The company statement said: Honda has extended its support in developing water conservation facility Vithalapur village. Honda will rejuvenate 2 reservoirs covering 23 acres of land which will contribute to sustainable development of the area and empower local population in the village.
Harbhajan Singh, Director, General & Corporate Affairs, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “The reservoir is our endeavor to provide uninterrupted water supply to the 3000 residents of nearby areas”
The company said till now more than 2.6 lakh people in Gujarat benefitted under different CSR activities initiated by it. The works complated include construction of 200 household toilets in Vithalapur village, primary health services at free of cost through Mobile medical units and static medical unit, installation of community water RO plants for clean drinking water in 15 villages and under Project Harit Udaan, support to marginalized in livelihood generation through plantation 36,937 Fruit bearing ultra-high density trees.
Bhoomi Poojan ceremony for water conservation project was conducted in presence of Bhupat Sinh, (Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat, Vithalapur), Harbhajan Singh, (Director, General & Corporate Affairs, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.,) Bhasker Chhabra, (Plant Head, 4F, Gujarat) Pradeep Singh, (General Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.), Sharad Pradhan, (Deputy General Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.,) and others from Vithalapur Gram Panchayat and HMSI.
