Number of seats in Gujarat medical colleges to increase by 35 for implementation of 10% EWS quota – Nitin Patel

Gandhiangar: Number of seats in medical colleges of Gujarat would be increased by 35 ie from existing 150 to 185 even as the state cabinet has approved the decision to implement 10% EWS quota in them.
Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel today informed this.
He said that to implement the 10% EWS quota without affecting other reservation beneficiaries, number of seats in the medical colleges would be increased.
Due to this the existence number of seats reserved for OBC, SC and ST categories would also see some increase.
