Chairman of Gujarat state Haj Committee Principal Mohamed Ali Qadri today said that 5900 people from the state would go for Haj between August 1 to 15 this year.
On the occasion of start of annual training for Haj in Patan today, Qadari also said that from the next year Haj pilgrims could utilize the cheaper sea route to reach Saudi Arabia by Ship.

Ahmedabad: Detection of Crime Branch of Ahmedabad city police today detained one Manish Bhikhbhai Maheria alias Manish Manjulaben Bhartiy(37) who is resident of Nilam Apartment in Bapunagar and originally from Manekpur village of Gandhinagar taluka.
Manish is accused of hurting religious sentiments of Hindus by making derogatory remarks against Goddess Mogal.

Indore: Madhya Pradesh based 49-year old spiritual leader Bhaiyyuji Maharaj passed away today. He allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself at his Indore based bungalow reportedly due to depression. In his suicide note, Bhaiyyuji Maharaj wrote: I am too much stressed out and fed up. Somnath: Ambaji Mata's gokh has been converted to golden at Somnath temple. This conversion has been possible thanks to donation of a devotee family from Spain in Europe.
