Mumbai based tabloid report says, bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film shoot will take place in Gujarat.

The report says that Bhansali’s next film will be a musical romantic saga which will be an adaption of Shakspear’s Romeo and Juliet. If further says that Bhansali intends to start the pre production in April, and Ranveer Singh and Kareena Kapoor could be the main pair.

The report says, Bhansali’s friend-turned-foe Ismail Darbar is in the process of making his own adaptation of the Shakespeare classic.

Bhansali had earlier selected Gujarat for shooting of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

Bollywood film-star Hrithik Roshan was in Amdavad today to promote his forthcoming film Agneepath-2.

A remake of original Agneepath that was released in 1990s, Agneepath-2 features Hritik Roshan as Vijay Dinanath Chauhan, a character that was played by Amitabh Bachchan in original Agneepath.

Hrithik interacted with media and with the fans at Thaltej cross road based PVR multiplex in the afternoon.

He danced on the tune of bollywood songs and also threw t-shirts and CDs to crowd. Enjoy the video.

Hrithik recently published this photo on Twitter with Gujarati lady Madhavi Laad. Hrithik said Madhavai Laad is his new inspiration. She is 66 and working out. Hrithik tweeted that she was pushed by her son to join the gym. “Bravo son! It’s newver two late to be great! So what’s your excuse? Cheers,” he tweeted further.

In a press conference today in Ahmedabad, bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan bumped across an incredible fan of Bachchans.

When journalists had no question to ask, and there was a silence and pause in the press conference, one gentleman stood up and claimed to be a great fan of Bachchans. He said that he had distributed 90 kg Jalebi sweets when Aishwarya rai Bachchan gave birth to a baby. He offered Abhishek to allow him to chant an aarti he has made on Bachchans. As soon as Abhishek agreed and asked him to go ahead, a person started singing aarti of Bachchan containing lyrics praising Bachchans. Enjoy the video.

Bollywood Film star Bipasha Basu and Abhishek Bachchan were in Amdavad today and the focal point of their discussion on twitter today was Gujarati food. Interestingly, another star Riteish Deshmukh also jumped into the discussion with Bipasha and Abhishek on this subject through Twitter presence.

At 1.30 pm, Bipasha tweets: In Amdavad!@JuniorBachchan is taking us all to eat authentic Gujarati thalli!Yumm!Want Udhiyo n Meethi dal!!

On this another bollywood star Riteish Deshmukh tweeted and told Bipasha: Trust @JuniorBachchan to know the best eating places all over India. He treated me to the best food in Baroda.

Soon Abhishek Bachchan tweeted and told Riteish Deshmukh: It was called aghashe. During the shoot of Bingo.

Riteish replies:Ohhh yeahhh i remember.

At 3.30 pm Bipasha posted a picture (presented above) on Twitter and said:Gujarati thaali at Govardhan! Yummmm!

In successive tweet she corrected that it was Gordhan thal, and added:Awesome Food!

It was just another film promotion, and just another interaction of bollywood stars with the journalists in Ahmedabad.

The star was Shahrukh Khan who was looking old and odd with his getup of pony tail and wrinkles.

When asked about Lokpal, Shahrukh put aside the question by saying that he would better talk about Donpal. This was in reference to his forthcoming film Don – 2. Shahrukh’s Ahmedabad tour was in fact to promote Don – 2.

So in this video above, you can watch Radio Mirchi’s poor RJ who can’t speak two lines correctly in Gujarati. You can watch the Producer of Don telling that the film is going to be dubbed in Tamil and Telugu, but not in Gujarati. When a journalist ask some question, Shahrukh reacts ‘Is aadmi ko press conference khatam hone se pehle hi utha lo.’ A girl whose name is Shital asks Shahrukh to permit her for photo shoot with him as today is her birthday. When asked about black money, Shahrukh saying, “I am as patriotic as you but when entertainment people enter into some serious issue, the seriousness of that issue affects adversely.”

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to veteran bollywood actor Dev Anand remembering his role in emergency period.

On demise of Hindi film actor Dev Anand(88) in London on Saturday night due to cardiac arrest, Gujarat Chief Minister on Sunday morning tweeted, “the guide of entertainment industry, Dev sahab has passed away. Our tributes to him….May his soul rest in peace.”

Modi further tweeted: “during the 1975-77 emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi, Dev Sahab was the one who stood up in favour of democracy with most conviction.”

It should be mentioned that Modi was active underground worker against emergency imposed by then Prime Minister and Congress leader Indira Gandhi. Modi has also written a book about his activities in emergency period.

Noted actor of Hindi film industry Akshay Kumar, who paid courtesy visit to Chief Minister Narendra Modi, said that he will remain present on the inaugural function of Khel Mahakumbh 2011.

Akshay Kumar, who also has a flair for martial arts and sports besides acting, praised the Chief Minister’s farsighted planning and said that he is impressed with efforts of the Gujarat government for inculcating the sportsman spirit among children through the medium of sports. He also expressed his readiness to give his services in the sporting field whenever the Chief Minister asks him.

MLA Rakesh Shah, Secretary for Youth and Cultural Activities department Bhagyesh Jha and Mr. Vikas Sahay of Sports Authority of India were also present on the occasion.

It was another film promotion visit of the stars of bollywood to the city of Ahmedabad on Monday. The stars this time were Vidya Balan and Imran Hashmi. And the film being promoted was Dirty picture. This could be well narrated as Shahrukh Khan’s marketing mafiagiri if we take some liberty of language while coming at conclusion of the situation.

A group of youths decided to watch the film ‘Three musketeers’ and gathered information about this film’s shows through websites of multiplexes in proximity. Though they had decided to watch Three musketeers, optionally, they had decided to watch an English film.

As per the online details available on the websites of multiplexes, they reached one multiplex in Ahmedabad’s S.G.Highway area, but they were shocked to find that contrary to website, the multiplex was running only one film Ra-one in all screens in all shows. There was no option to watch any other film!!

This Multiplex had visibly canceled, or not allowed any other film’s screening, possibly to give away smooth business to Shahrukh Khan starer Ra-one.

So a group of film goers visited couple of other multiplexes nearby to find option, but sadly they too were showing only Ra-one in all screens, all the shows.

Difficult to say whether this same scenario is there in other multiplexes too!

And there’s no chance that the film can become flop after using such monopolistic trick!

So is it that, in these Diwali holidays, those wanting to go to film can only watch Ra-one, spending ticket price ranging from 100-200?

MS University performing arts faculty alumni Maulik Pathak will produce a film on Vir Hamirsinh Gohil, martyred of medieval era Gujarat who attempted to rescue Somnath mandir from the attack of invaders.

Pathak’s film is based on MS University’s Gujarati department lecturer Dipak Vyas’s research on history of Somnath mandir.

Proposed film has been named as ‘Vir Hamirji – Somnath Sakhate’. The film will have full length song ‘Kasumbi no rang’ for the first time. Till now this song has been sung and presented in curtailed format.

Ram kathakar Shri Morari Bapu today watched promos of this Gujarati film in Somnath where his Ramkatha is going on.
