After Britishers decided to leave India, Junagadh’s Navab(Muslim ruler) wanted Junagadh to join Pakistan and not India though Junagadh was geographically not connected with Pakistan.

Then Sardar Patel intervened in the matter and took Junagadh’s problem in his hands. Majority people of Junagadh did not want to join Pakistan. Sardar Patel motivated them to form an Aarzi Hakumat (people’s rule). Aarzi Hakumat started marching towards Junagadh and at last Navab had to leave for Pakistan because he had no other option.

This is old and famous fun song of Gujarat’s great film comedian Ramesh Mehta in which newly wedded bride is making complains to her husband about what he promised her before marriage and look what is the reality actually that she is seeing now. Glimpse of lyrics is given below.
