Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today morning inaugurated the annual flower show of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) at Sabarmati Riverfront in the city. Rupani said the flower show this year is double in size compared to previous edition. He said there are as many as 7.5 lakh flowers in display this year in the show.

Surat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will during his visit to Gujarat on January 30th inaugurate National Salt Satyagrahan Memorial at coastal place Dandi in South Gujarat.
The memorial is dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi's salt march of year 1930s against imposition of tax on salt by then British government. Mahatma Gandhi had started Dandi march on 12 March 1930 from Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad and concluded it on 6 April 1930 at coastal place Dandi in South Gujarat.

Bharuch: In two months after its opening, world's tallest statue - the Statue of Unity - has attracted more than five lakh visitors.
The statue was opened for public on October 31st . It remains closed every Monday for maintenance.

Junagadh: President Ram Nath Kovind was on visit to Sasan Gir forest near Junagadh in Gujarat with is wife and daughter to have Lion Safari earlier today. Bhuj: On a two-day tour of Gujarat, Kovind reached a 'Tent City' set up near Dhordo village of Kutch district this morning.
A special cultural programme was organised at the venue in the white desert for the president in the evening.
He would stay at the Tent City tonight and undertake a lion safari in the Gir forest in Junagadh district Sunday.
The president is also likely to visit the Somnath temple during his visit.
