New Delhi: The AAI has for the sixth time extended the deadline for submitting the bids for Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of Ahmedabad and Jaipur airports, this time with reworked bidding parameters. The proposed contracts are for operating and maintaining passenger terminal building, airport operations control centre, fire control room, passenger boarding bridges, apron area (not including the apron areas of the cargo terminal) and surface car park, among others, at the two airports.

Rajkot: Airport Authority of India(AAI) team early this week visited the site for proposed new airport of Rajkot and gave its inputs.
The land for proposed new airport has been earmarked in Hirasar village on Rajkot-Ahmedabad highway. Ahmedabad: A Chennai-bound Spicejet plane from here, with 189 passengers and crew onboard, had to abort take off today after some monkeys were spotted on the runway.
The Boeing B737-800 aircraft, operating as flight no SG-501, had started taxiing at around 6.40 AM when alert air traffic controllers sighted monkeys on the live runway, sources said.

New Delhi: Government on Monday said parking charges at airports across country are being waived till the midnight of November 21, as people continue to face difficulties in tendering change following the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes.
