Ahmedabad: Vistara flight departed from Ahmedabad for Delhi last evening experienced a technical problem in one of its engines after departure and landed at Ahmedabad, at 8.55 pm.
All passengers were safe.
'Flight number UK966 was cancelled due to this technical glitch and relief aircraft was being sent from Delhi which was scheduled to depart from Ahmedabad at 0130 hrs,' according to Vistara.

New Delhi: Hours after an A320 neo aircraft of private airline company Indigo suffered engine failure mid-air and made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad airport today, country's air sector regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation(DGCA) put ban on the operations of 11 A320 neo aircraft that are powered by a certain series of Pratt & Whitney (P&W) engines.
As an effect, today itself 11 aircraft have been grounded. Of these 11 aircraft, 8 are operated by IndiGo and 3 by GoAir.

Ahmedabad: Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel airport's international terminal has got two additional aero bridges. The airport has now total 8 aero bridges, four each in the domestic and the international terminals. New aero bridges can connect to Airbus A320 family aircraft and can be adjusted for the Boeing 747 series of planes. Rs 4.40 crore aero bridges are developed with Make in India element.
