Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service(AMTS) will take up revamp project for Lal Darwaja bus terminus at a cost of around Rs 6 crore. A private consultant was hired for estimates of this project. The report has been received by AMTS already and e-tenders will be out soon.

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) has suspended seven engineers based on a primary report of Vigilance department over the poor condition of roads. The detailed departmental inquiry will take place now.Those suspended are deputy city engineer Manoj Solanki and six assistant engineers Hiren Barot, Atul Patel, Navin Patel, Krunal Gajjar, Nikunj Adesara and Bhavin Patel.

Ahmedabad: A citizen who suffered accident due to 'damaged roads' has sought compensation from civic body.
Devendra Shah, resident of KK Nagar in Ahmedabad was passing through Naranpura railway crossing area when his Honda Activa two-wheeler slipped due to uneven surface of road damaged by rain. Suffering from four fracture due to this incident, Shah would need 45-day bed rest. Shah is in process to go to court to seek Rs 1.15 lakh compensation as tax-payer. Ahmedabad: A meeting of Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation was held today here. The meeting took decision to extend the River drive roads from Torrent power station to Indira bridge on Western bank and from Dafnala to Indira bridge on the Eastern bank. The total length of roads on both sides will be 11.1 km( 5.2 km on one side and 5.9 km on the other side). While in South zone and East zone the rainfall was in measurement of over 48 mm, the rainfall in West zone was just8.76 mm, in North zone 7.51 mm, in New West Zone 19.35 mm and Central zone 25 mm.

Ahmedabad: Municipal Corporation here today launched 'Bala Hanuman Express' bus service. The launching function was held at Bhadrakali area of wall city.
The bus service will offer free transportation service on Lal Darwaja - Bhadrakali Plaza - Pankor Naka, Bala Hanuman, Panchkuva, Raypur, Tilakbaug - Lal Darwaja route.

Ahmedabad: A new 'material recovery facility'(MRF) built in public private partnership between NEPRA resource management private ltd and Ahmdabad Municipal Corporation was opened today by city Mayor.
The AMC has allocated 4,000 square meter land for this facility over which NEPRA has built MRF with investment of Rs 12 crore.
Waste sorting task is performed in this plant through automatic machinery. Daily capacity of this plant is 70 mt sorting of dry waste.

Akash Infrastructure Project pvt ltd and GPC Infrastructure Project pvt ltd are blacklisted for three years while third contractor JR Agrawal which was earlier blacklisted for one year has been now blacklisted for another two years.

Ahmedabad: Due to continuous rainfall in catchment area, Dharoi dam in North Gujarat is witnessing continuous inflow. At 3.00 pm today the level of water in Dharoi dam was 611.15 ft.
