Ahmedabad: Thousands of people gathered all across the route of final journey of martyr Army jawan Mahipalsinh Vala in Odhav area of the city today. Many were wearing t-shirts with his photo. Vadnagar: The Antim Sanskar (final rites) of martyred jawan Raysangji Javanji Thakor was performed with a Guard of Honour in his native Sulipur village in Vadnagar taluka. Vadnagar observed a strike today in honour of the martyred jawan. The truck of the Indian Army in which he and other jawans were travelling had drowned in the Tista River in Sikkim on Saturday. Mahesana: A 26-year-old Army jawan from Sulipur village of Mahesana district died in Sikkim when on duty as the truck carrying the Army jawans fell into a river. The dead body of the jawan was fished out after five days of search. Martyr Raysingji Thakor(26) was selected for Army in 2017. He had got his first posting in Jammu. Surendranagar: The army rescued a 12-year-old girl stuck at 60 to 70 feet depth in a 600 feet deep borehole in Gajanvav in Dhrangadhra taluka in Surendranagar.
