New Delhi: The Cricket Academy of Pathans (CAP), a coaching institute of Indian cricketers Irfan Pathan and his brother Yusuf Pathan, who have collaborated with the Indian Army, has sponsored two youngsters from Jammu & Kashmir to train in their Noida-based academy. Danish Qadeer (18 years) and Shahrukh Husssein (20 years) were selected in the trials conducted by the Indian Army in Kupwara district.

India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been suspended for the final match of the ongoing series against Sri Lanka by the International Cricket Council for breaching their code of conduct.
Jadeja threw the ball at the batsman’s end, which the on-field umpires deemed was executed “in a dangerous manner”. The ball narrowly missed left-hander Dimuth Karunaratne.

Rajkot: Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja today become a proud father as his wife Rivaba gave birth to a health girl child in the wee hours.
Jadeja, a native of Jamnagar is currently in England as part of team India in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy. His family lives in Junction plot area of Rajkot city where he also owns a restaurant.

New Delhi: The winners of a local cricket tournament organized by Rabari community in Gujarat’s Vadodara were awarded cows as prize. Rabaris are predominantly pastoralists.
Community leaders say the move is aimed at raising awareness on cow protection. ‘With this tournament we want to send a message that cow is a very important component in our society. Rabari community has always protected cattle as it is our livelihood,” organiser of the tournament, Prakash Rabari, told ANI.

Rajkot: Rajkot based cricket Ravindra Jadeja has achieved number one position as test bowler in International Cricket Control Board(ICC) ranking while another Gujarat based cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara has achieved number two rank as batsman.
Left-arm spinner Jadeja pipped R Ashwin after nine wickets in the drawn third Test against Australia. Pujara's 202 has helped him gain four slots to reach a career-best second ranking with 861 points.
