Gandhinagar: Elections for 10,318 Sarpanchs(village heads), gram panchayat bodies and by elections for vacant gram panchayat seats will be held in the last week of December this year in Gujarat.
According to State Election Commission of Gujarat, polling for Gram Panchayat elections will take place on December 27 while counting will take place on December 29.
The polls will involve 91,002 wards and 24,454 polling stations.

Gujarat Election Commission has announced schedule of Gram Panchayat polls involving as many as 29 lakh voters.
According to an announcement made today, as many as 1728 village panchayats will witness voting on 15 April, 2012.
Notification of poll will be out on 26 March.
