Gandhinagar: The procurement of groundnut for 2018-19 season at Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Rs 5000 per quintal ie 100kg (Rs 1000 per mun or 20kg) started this morning.

Rajkot: In a meeting of Saurashtra Oil Millers Association(SOMA) at Rajkot, groundnut production for year 2018-19 was estimated at 1.3 million tonnes, 48% less compared to previous year when groundnut production was 2.5 million tonnes. Groundnut production this year is hit due to scarce rainfall.
