Gandhinagar: State run Gujarat Gas has increased the rates of CNG by around Rs 4 per kg with effect from midnight today.
The new rate of CNG at the gas stations of Gujarat gas would be Rs 54.70 per kg wef from mid night today ie effectively from October 2.

Gandhinagar: Gujarat is leading state in terms of usage of gas for home usage and for vehicle. India has around 31.60 lakh PNG home usage consumers of gas of which 48% or 15 lakh are in Gujarat. According to Finance Minister Shri Saurabh Patel, the BJP-led NDA government in centre has granted permission to for piped gas supply to home users in Amreli and Patan districts of Gujarat that earlier Congress-led UPA government had denied.
Patel said Gujarat Gas company has been granted permission to lay gas pipeline in Amreli district while Sabarmati Gas company has been granted permission to lay gas pipeline in Patan district.

State energy minister Saurabh Patel today said that Gujarat Gas Ltd which is the biggest company in the area of city gas distribution will start laying gas distribution pipeline in Union Territory Dadra Nagar Haveli(DNH) from 15 January. The pipeline network in DNH will be 550 km long and cover Naroli, Dadra, Silvasa, Samarvani, Masat and Rakholi areas. In next five years it will cover entire DNH. Gujarat Gas Company Ltd has today announced reduction in prices of piped natural gas(PNG) and compressed natural gas(CNG).
State owned company has reduced PNG prices by 86 paisa/standard cubic meter and CNG prices by Rs 1.35/kg.
New prices will be effective from midnight today.
10.25 lakh home users and 3 lakh CNG vehicle owners will be benefited with this announcement which shall be implemented with effect from 1st October 2015.

Gujarat Gas Company Ltd (GGCL) will add more than two lakh new household gas connections and install over 25 new CNG stations in the western Indian state of Gujarat, Energy Minister Saurabh Patel said on Sunday.

Energy minister Saurabh Patel today lit a gas stove in Bhavnagar and dedicated piped gas supply for cooking purpose in this city.

There's a good news for Morbi based industries, mainly into sanitary ware, tiles and ceramic manufacturing.
Gujarat Gas has reduced industrial gas prices for industrial customers in Morbi.
The company has reduced PNG(industrial) rates - excluding taxes to Rs 29 per SCM from Rs 31.79 per SCM effective from 1st June 2015.
This is another reduction in gas prices for Morbi industry in recent months.
