Porbandar: A sailing expedition from Porbandar to Mangalore to mark the Golden Jubilee year of the Western Naval Command of the Indian Navy was flagged off from here today.
The expedition on the Indian Naval Sailing Vessel (INSV) Bulbul would conclude on October 13 when it reaches Mangalore in Karnataka.

Indian Naval Ship Sunayna entered Porbandar harbor of Gujarat today with 38 Indian Nationals successfully rescued from cyclone hit Socotra Island of Yemen.

Porbandar: Another Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) of Indian Navy has crashed in Porbandar. The latest one has crashed near Khakhrala Ness close to Ranavav town of Porbandar district. Indian Navy has UAV squadron based in Porbandar. This is second Heron drone, Indian Navy has lost in less than a month and third crash in four months(Army lost one in December). Heron UAV had lost datalink communication before it crashed.

Porbandar: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Indian Navy crashed minutes after taking off from air enclave of Porbandar Naval base today morning.
The drone crashed in the open space of an ice-factory located next to Udyognagar police station in Porbandar soon after it took off at around 9.30 am. Police called fire fighters as the drone had caught fire after crash.
Indian Navy shifted debris to know the reason of the incident and initiated an inquiry.

New Delhi: The Navy today said it has taken up the Scorpene document leak matter with France's Directorate General of Armament and has asked the French government to investigate the incident with urgency and share their findings with the Indian side.
