Mumbai: Special CBI Court here has discharged retired retired cop DG Vanzara ad IG in Rajasthan Police Dinesh MN from year 2005 Sohrabuddin Sheikh and Tulsi Prajapati encounter case. Both have spent seven years in jail in this case. After getting discharged from Sohrabuddin Sheikh and Tulsi Prajapati encounter cases, DG Vanzara said justice has been done by judiciary.

Ahmedabad: Former IPS Rahul Sharma who is nowadays lawyer and activist today declared on Facebook he would float a new party. Sharma is going to name his party as 'Smart Party'. He wishes his party to contest on all 182 assembly seats in upcoming Gujarat assembly polls. Sharma was loggerhead with Gujarat government over his role as IPS during and after year 2002 riots. Gandhinagar: The Gujarat State Human Rights Commission (GSHRC) today denied reports which claimed that former in-charge DGP P P Pandey has been appointed at its new member.
An official of the commission today said that the commission has only one member ie M H Shah. No body else has been appointed as the member.

Ahmedabad: The women police wing here today arrested Keyur Desai, husband of Rashesha Desai, the daughter of ex-IPS officer and Congress leader V V Rabari, who has filed a complaint of harassment and other charges against him.

Gandhinagar: The senior most Director General of Police (DGP) Geetha Johri was appointed in-charge police chief of Gujarat today. The minister of state for home Pradeepsinh Jadeja announced the decision and said that Johri as the senior-most IPS officer in the state has been given the additional charge as per a decision taken by the Chief Minister.
