Gandhinagar: Gujarat government today announced new rules for health permits of consuming liquor. As per the statement of Minister of State for Home, Pradipsinh Jadeja the new changes to Health permit(liquor permit) rules are following:
- Private doctor's certificate will not be valid any more.

Local Crime Branch of Bharuch police today seized large amount of India Made Foreign Liquor laden in 6 luxury cars near cable stay bridge and arrested 6 people in this connection.
A police official said that based on a tip off police checked the 6 cars and found around 250 boxes of liquor worth lakhs of rupees.
Six persons driving the cars, 3 of whom were said to be resident of Vadodara and one each from Kheda, Narmada and Bharuch districts.

The RR cell of police in Surendranagar district has recovered more than 9000 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth over Rs 27 lakh from a gas tanker.
Police said that based on a tip off an LPG tanker with Indian oil marked on it, parked near a road-side hotel on Malvan-Ahmedabad road in Malvan area was searched.
A total of 9120 bottles of IMFL worth Rs 27.36 lakhs was found hidden in it.
The driver of the tanker somehow fled.

Ahmedabad: 1650 bottles of liquor were seized by Ramol police of Ahmedabad from an ambulance near Mahadev Estate. Police found this new modus operandi adopted by bootlegger to dodge the cops. The driver of ambulance had filled the ambulance with liquor bottles after dropping a patient. The driver has been arrested by police.

Over 4500 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from a milk-tanker in Thara area of Banaskantha district in North Gujarat.

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Police has seized 10,538 vehicles that are found transporting liquor in last two years. Value of 1,145 such vehicles seized in only Vadodara city, rural and Narmada districts is total Rs 35.63 crore.
This information was shared by minister of state for home Pradipsinh Jadeja in the assembly today.
Jadeja said, the new law of liquor prohibition has provision of permenent seizer of vehicles involved in liquor transportation.
