Surat: The Surat District Co-operative Milk Producers' Union Ltd popularly known as SUMUL Dairy, one of the 18 dairies of Gujarat associated with brand Amul, has decreased its milk procurement prices from today.

The Kaira District Co-operative Milk Producers' Union Limited popularly known as Amul Dairy, one of the oldest among 18 member dairies of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation that owns brand Amul, has decided to decrease its milk procurement price by Rs 20 per kg fat from tomorrow ie September 11.
CFO of the Anand based Dairy D D Haranjal today confirmed it.
He said that the price would be reduced to Rs 640 per kg fat from tomorrow from current Rs 660.

The Mehsana District Co-operative Milk Producers' Union Limited popularly known as Dudhsarar Dairy, one of the 18 member dairies of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation that owns brand Amul, has decided to decrease the milk procurement price by Rs 25 per kg fat from tomorrow ie September 1.
MD of the Mahesana based Dairy Nishith Baxi today said that the procurement prices have been reduced from Rs 600 per kg fat to Rs 575 per kg fat with effect from tomorrow.

Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (GCMMF), the federation of 18 district dairies in the state, is likely to launch the 'much-awaited' camel milk for the first time by the end of this year.
