New Delhi: "Janakpur(Nepal) and Ayodhya are being connected. This is a historic moment," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today while inaugurating the bus service as part of the Ramayan Circuit to promote religious tourism in Nepal and India. The bus service was jointly inaugurated by Shri Modi and his Nepalese counterpart K P Sharma Oli at 20th century Janaki temple, dedicated to the Hindu goddess Sita. Thousands of people have gathered in the Janaki temple premises to welcome Modi.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday will start his two-day state visit to Nepal.
This will be his third visit to Nepal. He will start his visit from the historic city of Janakpur, the birthplace of Sita, from Friday morning where he will visit 20th century Janki temple and offer prayers. Rajkot: President of Nepal Bidhya Devi Bhandari is on two-day visit to Gujarat.
Nepal president arrived today morning at Rajkot airport where she was received by protocol minister Pradipsinh Jadeja and others. Traditional folk dances were performed to welcome the Nepal president on her arrival at Rajkot airport. Kathmandu: Nepal Rastra Bank on Thursday banned the use of India's new currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 2,000 denomination, terming them "unauthorised and illegal".
These two currency notes were issued by the Reserve Bank of India recently after old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 denomination notes were withdrawn.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has called the new currency notes "unauthorised and illegal".

Kathmandu:Nepal Premier Prachanda has telephoned Prime Minister Narendra Modi and sought an arrangement so that Nepalese holding a huge stock of banned high denomination Indian bank notes could swap them with legal currency in the country.
