Karachi: Pakistan today released 78 Indian fishermen held for alleged trespassing into its territorial waters, officials said.
"The fishermen were released from Karachi's Landhi jail," an official of the provincial home department of Sindh, Naseem Siddiqui told a news agency.
The freed fishermen are expected to cross over into India tomorrow.

Ahmedabad: Fishermen forum sources have got information that 78 Indian prisoners are to be released from Pakistan jail in the next fortnight, of whom 77 are fishermen who were caught by Pakistan Marine Security Agency off Gujarat coast for alleged violation of international maritime boundary. All 78 Indians are likely to enter India via Wagah border in Punjab on July 13. Many of them are from coastal Saurashtra, Diu and South Gujarat.

Porbandar: Pakistan Marine Security Agency (PMSA) today again reportedly captured at least 5 Indian boats and around 30 fishermen aboard near International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) in the Arabian sea off the Jakhau coast of Gujarat.
National Fish Workers Forum Secretary Manish Lodhari said that he has reports of the capture of 5 boats of Porbandar by Pak Marines. There were around 30 fishermen on board these boats. 'We are trying to confirm the reports,' he said.

Bhuj: An abandoned Pakistani boat was today found in Haraminala, a channel in marshy creek area adjoining Arabian sea, close to Indo-Pak border in Kutch district of Gujarat.
