The India Coast Guard and some other agencies today started an operation to de-fuel the 'notorious' vessel M V Henry, form which around 1500 kg of heroine worth over 4500 crores smuggled from abroad was seized in July last year.
The operation has been started to avoid any possibility of oil-spill in the sea.
The vessel which was bought later by a Porbandar based firm and was brought there had drifted from the harbour.

Porbandar: Two ailing fishermen, released from Pakistan jail arrived in Gujarat. Pakistan Marine Security Agency had caught them from mid-sea for violation of maritime border last year.
Dana Arjan Chauhan is 39-year old. He is suffering from cancer. He was arrested on 2nd May last year for violation of international maritime boundary.

The Indian Coast Guard through an aerial operation in the wee hours today rescued 7 crew of a tug boat whose engine went off due to bursting of fuel lines and was drifting in rough sea near Gujarat Coast.

Porbandar: Gujarat government had recently taken a decision to accept the demand made by fishermen and announced Rs 12 relief per litre in Vallue Added Tax(VAT) levied on fuel. In addition to this, Indial Oil Corporation will give Rs 2.28 relief per litre. This makes effective discount per litre stock of disel at Rs 14.28.

Porbandar: Another Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) of Indian Navy has crashed in Porbandar. The latest one has crashed near Khakhrala Ness close to Ranavav town of Porbandar district. Indian Navy has UAV squadron based in Porbandar. This is second Heron drone, Indian Navy has lost in less than a month and third crash in four months(Army lost one in December). Porbandar: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Indian Navy crashed minutes after taking off from air enclave of Porbandar Naval base today morning.
The drone crashed in the open space of an ice-factory located next to Udyognagar police station in Porbandar soon after it took off at around 9.30 am. Police called fire fighters as the drone had caught fire after crash.
Indian Navy shifted debris to know the reason of the incident and initiated an inquiry.

The Indian Coast Guard ship, C- 437, a multifarious interceptor boat with displacement of 106 tons and a maximum speed of 45 knots, was today commissioned at CG jetty here.
