Jaipur: With Gujjars threatening to launch a fresh agitation for quota, Rajasthan government has assured the communities under the special backward classes that it would go for appropriate solution within the framework of law to protect their interest.
The Rajasthan High Court had on December 9 struck down Special Backward Classes quota given to Gujjars and five other communities by the state government as the total reservation exceeded the permissible limit of 50 per cent.

Jaipur:A team of PCPNDT cell of Rajasthan police arrested a doctor and a middleman for allegedly conducting sex determination test in Gujarat.
The team carried out a successful decoy operation in a private hospital of Gujarat's Mehsana yesterday and nabbed Dr Jayanti Lal Patel (64) and middleman Neerav Patel (23).

Bundi(Rajasthan): Attempting to usher transparency and remove corruption from mid-day meal distribution, Rajasthan government has initiated an SMS-based system through which meal data will be sent everyday by schools to a toll free number that will be monitored at the state-level.

Mumbai: Bath fittings and sanitaryware major Jaquar Group is nearly doubling its manufacturing facility for faucets with an investment of Rs 150 crore as it targets 25 per cent growth in revenues to Rs 3,000 crore this fiscal, a top company official said.
