Bhuj: During November - 2017 to 6 January 2018, 1.48 lakh visitors visited Kutch Rann Utsav. Last year in 2016-17 edition of Rann Utsav, 1,78,143 had visited Rann Utsav. In previous edition of Rann Utsav, the month of November witnessed 45,087 tourists while December witnessed 48,352 tourists. Bhuj: Hindi movie actress Vidya Balan spent a day in Kutch to promote her upcoming film Tumhari Sulu. Vidya participated in Rann Utsav tourism festival which is being organized by Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd. Bhuj: One of the biggest tourism festival in Gujarat 'Rann Utsav' kicks off today. Due to model code of conduct imposed by Election Commission, this edition of Rann Utsav will kick off without any formal inaugural function.
According to Nirav Munshi, manager in Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd(TCGL) there are 350 tents this year in Rann Utsav venue at Dhordo along with food court and craft bazar.

Bhuj: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today inaugurated 'Bhunga' tourist stay facility set up at a cost of Rs 62 lakh at Dhordo in Rann of Kutch. The Chief Minister also performed ground breaking of Rs 1.40 crore construction of 20 'Bhunga' traditional tourist stay units.
