Ahmedabad: A Request for Proposal(RFP) for setting up 1000 MW solar park at Dholera will be out in week or two, said Raj Gopal, Principal Secretary for Energy and Petrochemicals, Government of Gujarat speaking at CII Solar conclave here today.
It will be the phase-one of proposed 5000 MW solar park project. The first phase is likely to be functional over a period of two years from now according to Raj Gopal.

Rajkot: Suryashakti Kisan Yojana(SKY) is on roll now. The first two feeders for SKY in Rajkot district were inaugurated today in a function at Jetpur. Under the SKY programme, Rajkot district is going to get five feeders. The first feeder inaugurated today is called Jadeshwar feeder. The other feeder also inaugurated today is called Balaji feeder. Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister today announced Suryashakti Kisan Yojana (SKY) for farmers. The Yojana is for 26 lakh farmers who are existing consumers of power companies. The farmers will be given solar panel to generate solar power in their farms. The name of related feeder will be known as Sky feeder. Farmers will need to pay minimum 5% of total cost. Gandhinagar: Gujarat government today announced wind-solar hybrid power policy under which solar power producers are allowed to set up wind power project in same land and use single transmission line for supply of both solar and wind power. Ahmedabad: Railways will install a 7.5MW-peak solar power plant in Gujarat. This announcement has been made in a booklet 'Gearing Gujarat' released by Railway minister via video conference.
Proposed solar power plant will be set up in public private partnership model. Private partner will operate it for 25 years.

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government will announce wind-solar hybrid power policy, said State Chief Minister Vijay Rupani while speaking in Surat today during an interaction with private news channel.
Rupani said this in reference to government's plan to set up a 5000 MW solar power park on coastal wasteland near Dholera. Rupani said the tender for desalination plant at Jodiya in Saurashtra has been approved and another tender for similar plant in Dahej area of Central Gujarat is also out.

Palanpur: Banas Dairy is planning for 12,000 unit solar power generation across its various facilities.
At present, a 1,000 kw capacity solar power plant is functional at dairy premises in Palanpur. The dairy has also its units in Faridabad, Kanpur and Lucknow where it is planning to install solar power plants.
