Gandhinagar: Twenty students of Ahmedabad based Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration(SPIPA) have been successful in highly competitive Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) exams for Civil Service. They have made it to the final list of Civil Service examination. Among them Popat Mamtaben Hareshkumar has secured 45th rank nationally. She is from Keshod town of coastal Saurashtra region. Ahmedabad: Replicating the success of earlier years, 144 students of the Sardar Patel Institute of Public Administration (SPIPA) have cleared the Prelims examination 2016 held by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on August 7. The number is higher than last year. This year, among those successful, 16 are girls, 72 from general category and 24, 13, 24 from SC, ST and SEBC category respectively.

Gandhinagar: Gujarat government today announced that it wll pay uniform stipend to UPSC civil service aspirants of Gujarat for all categories. As per a decision taken, candidate will be paid stipend of Rs 30,000 after clearing UPSC prelims and Rs 50,000 to those who clear UPSC mains. Also Rs 81,000 will be given to female and Rs 71,000 to male candidate who clears all round of UPSC exams.
