Bharuch: The Prime Minister is likely to dedicate the Statue of Unity - world's tallest statue at Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam site on October 31st this year. Along with the statue and museum, the Prime Minister will also dedicate another tourist attraction - valley of flowers.
The government has released Rs 6 crore of Rs 12 crore grant approved for the valley of flowers project. While Rs 3 crore was spent last year, another Rs 3 crore have been spent this year.

Rajpipla: Minister of State in central government Mansukh Mandavia today launched the works for Rs 223 crore four laning of national highway number 56 stretch connecting Devaliya and Rajpipla(Statue of Unity).

Gandhinagar: The Whip of Gujarat Congress Party and the MLA of Sidhpur Mr. Balvantsinh Rajput raised question regarding “Budget provision for Statue of Unity” in the assembly. In his reply Minister (Narmada) said that budget provision made for this project in Year 2014-15 was Rs. 100 crores , in 2015-2016 Rs. 75 cores and in 2016-17 Rs. 134 crores, totaling to 309 crores. Bharuch: Rs 530 crore amount has been spent so far for construction of the Statue of Unity featuring Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Narmada dam in Central Gujarat. So far RCC core work has been completed upto 30 meter and girder work is in progress along with the construction of main bridge and RCC road. The Statue of Unity project will complete in year 2018. New Delhi: Construction of Statue of Unity is a State Government of Gujarat’s project being implemented by Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd. (SSNNL), a wholly owned Government of Gujarat Undertaking.
