Vapi: A fire today broke out in a well-known pharma company in Vapi GIDC area of Valsad district in South Gujarat.
Police said that fire broke out in a chemical tanker standing inside the premises of S Kant Healthcare Ltd, situated in the Phase 3 of Vapi GIDC. It also spread to other parts of the company.
But it was controlled in around 2 horus (broke out at around 1130 and doused by 1330) by fire tenders.
Fortunately no loss of life or injury has been reported.

Ahmedabad:Union Railway minister Suresh Prabhu today launched Rs 235 crore works for four railway over bridges in Valsad district of South Gujarat via e-medium. Railway minister also flagged off Ahmedabad - Chennai Humsafar Express train from Motivada in Valsad district via e-medium. The train departed from Ahmedabad railway station. The train offers luxury experience to everybody as it has 3rd AC coaches. The train also has fire announcement system and CCTV camera.

Vapi: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani inaugurated Vapi Industries Association(VIA) expo in southern Gujarat industrial town Vapi today. VIA expo is another pre-Vibrant summit event. Next similar pre-Vibrant event will be Vibrant Saurashtra expo and summit which is scheduled to be held during 5-8 January. The Chief Minister during his Vapi visit declared 'Vapi Gaurav Path' as Gujarat's first cashless enabled street.

Gandhinagar: Polling for Vapi (Valsad district) and Kanakpur-Kansad (Surat district) municipalities in Gujarat is taking place today along with mid term poll for Gondal Taluka Panchayat and by-election for various vacant seats across the local bodies.
According the information received from the state election commission a total of over 2500 polling employees have been deployed for the election and by-election. In all around 1500 policemen have also been deployed for it.
