Junagadh: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani had to cancel his Gir Somnath visit due to bad weather today. Rupani was scheduled to reach Keshod at 2.00 pm and take a tour of flood-affected areas of Gir Somnath district. However, due to continuing rainfall, helicopter was unable to land following which Rupani cancelled his visit and returned to capital Gandhinagar.

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today said the state government will get five more teams of NDRF in addition to present 15 teams that are stand to for any rescue work necessary in wake of heavy rain, flood and water logging situation in parts of State.
Rupani said three villages of Gir Gadhda district namely Kanakiya, Kaneri and Sangwal were out of reach following very heavy rainfall. However communication has resumed and even transportation will resume today itself.
