Kunvarji Bavalia resigns from Congress’s Saurashtra area election committee
Ahmedabad, 16 September, 2010
Gujarat Congress Executive President and MP on Rajkot Lok Sabha seat Kunvarjibhai Bavalia on Wednesday resigned from Saurshtra Zone Election Committee of Congress party.
Bavalia has reportedly resigned because he is unhappy with the ticket distribution process, and selection of several candidates.
It should be mentioned here that Civic elections of six Municipal Corporations are scheduled on 10 October. The process of selection of candidates has to be completed by 25th of this month, as it is the last day of filing nomination.
Both BJP and Congress are facing problem during the selection process of candidates in several wards.
