Railway minister visits Bhuj railway station for a surprise check
Bhuj, 11 August, 2011
Central Railway minister Shri Dinesh Trivedi on Thursday paid a surprise visit to Bhuj railway station in Kutch district of Gujarat. Shri Trivedi instead of going to airport to board a plane to Delhi, suddenly diverted and reached Bhuj railway station. He stood in queue and collected a platform ticket. After frisking on the gate he went to platform and took a round to take a stock of the situation of this railway station which has been declared ‘model’ railway station by the Indian Railways.
Shri Trivedi filled visitors book and captured several photographs in his mobile phone. He found several issues with the railway station and asked railway officials that he would come back again here on 16 August and by then the railway station should be in better condition.
It should be mentioned that elected from West Bengal, Shri Trivedi is originally from Kutch. He was visiting his native village Bidada in Kutch with his family in unoffician and private visit to seek blessings of Kul devi.
