The Gujarat government today declared leave on Monday, 12 November.

While 11 November is Sunday, and 13 November is Diwali, the Monday in between has been declared holiday. This would make is possible for the government employees to celebrate the festival without working day in between.

In exchange, the state government has canceled holiday on Saturday, 22 December.
