Govt to consult Vastu and Shilp experts to restore height of Bahucharaji Mandir

Annually 78 lakh pilgrims pay visit to Shri Bahucharaji Mandirin north Gujarat. During Chaitra Naratri, daily 2 lakh pilgrims visit Bahucharaji Mandir for darshan of Bahuchar Mata. At present Rs. 18.62 crore development works are in progress at Bahucharaji. These details were shared by Minister Pradipsinh Jadeja in Gujarat Assembly today in reply to MLA.

Minister said the state government has taken up Rs. Rs. 6.6 crore works that include administrative office, committee room, prasad ghar, bhet kendra, bhojanalaya renovation etc.

He said the Road and Building department has taken up Rs. 12 crore four lanning work of 1.5 km state highway which passes through Bahucharaji. On every Aatham(8th day of Gujarati calendar month) Mataji’s Palkhi passes through the village. Rs. 1.20 crore ammount has been allotted for development of this path.

Minister said in year 2010-11 the government received Rs. 8.01 crore, in 2011-12 Rs. 8.62 crore, in year 2012-13 Rs.10.63 crore through donations to this Mandir.

He said earlier the height of the original Mandir was 55 ft however post reconstruction of Mandir the height has been 50 ft which is 5 ft shorter than original. Government has received representations for restoration of height of Mandir to original measurement. In this connection, proper decision will be taken after consultation with Vastu Shastris and Shilp Shastris.

Darshan path, pradakshina path, arrival plaza, eastern gate, food court, boundary wall, restoration, central pavilion, stone umbrella, toilet block, over head tank, drinking water arrangement, electrification, sitting arrangements, pilgrim halt, shops etc are the works completed by government under development project, the minister added.
