30 ft replica of Statue of Unity unveiled at Baben in Bardoli

Gujarat Chief Minister today dedicated a 30 ft replica of Statue of Unity featuring Sardar Patel at Baben in Bardoli area of South Gujarat. She launched a new website of Statue of Unity and released a book on ‘digital outreach programme – a case study’ on this occasion. She said the installation of gates over Narmada dam will complete in year 2017. She said the state government will start tourist circuit connecting he places associated with Sardar Patel’s life. Bardoli will be a part of that circuit, she added.
A 30 ft high statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel has been made in Noida in north India. It was brought to Baben in a truck. It was installed on island of a lake here through crane. The present version of statue is made from FRP. After seven days of display, it will be brought back to Noida, and similar statue will be made in casting which will be later placed again on the island of lake in Baben.
