Good news with ‘caution’ for rain lovers and farmers of Gujarat

There is more good news for common rain lovers and farmers in Gujarat but with caution as well.

A low pressure area that lies over the west Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Rajashtan and the associated upper air cyclonic circulation over the sea near Kutch would cause heavy to very heavy rains in various parts of the state during next at least four days starting tonight, official sources in the met center here today said.

Heavy to very heavy rains would occur at isolated places over Gujarat region and in the bordering union territories of Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli from tonight and would continue tomorrow. Heavy rains would occur at isolated places over Saurashtra, Kutch and in Diu, the sources said quoting the latest warning issued by the met department.

Heavy to very heavy rains would occur at isolated places over North Gujarat region and Kutch on July 26, 27 and 28 while heavy rains would occur at isolated places over

South Gujarat region, Saurashtra and in Diu, Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli during this period, the met sources said adding that this latest spell of monsoon is expected to recover the rain fall deficit (almost 48 percent) by a great deal.

Meanwhile in the last 24 hours Bhuj, Kandla, Valsad, Okha and some other areas of the state received moderate to light rainfall.
