RSS conducts relief works in 70 flood-hit villages of north Gujarat

According to a note received from Vishwa Samvad Kendra, a media unit of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS), Seva Bharati has started serving more than 70 flood affected villages in north Gujarat. A team of more than 250 RSS volunteers has started relief works since last Wednesday. Food packets, pouches of water, medical treatment are among main areas of focus while extending relief. According to district Sangh chalak of Banaskantha Shri Pratapbhai Thakkar, one veterinary doctor team is active at flood-hit Tetoda Gau shala. He said more volunteers will join the relief work in next 2-3 days. Deesa based Jalaram Bhojanalaya and other organizations are part of this relief mission conducted by RSS. Students in Deesa based Adarsh high school collected more than 2,000 food packets and handed over them to RSS arm Seva Bharati for distribution among needy flood-affected people, the note released for media said.
