AAI initiates process to partially privatize the management of Ahmedabad airport

New Delhi: Airport Authority of India (AAI) Chairman and Gujarat cadre IAS Guruprasad Mohapatra today while speaking to media persons said AAI has initiated process to shift passenger terminal building management, including the airport operations control centre, apron area,ground handling services, car park, etc of Ahmedabad airport to a private operator in order to partially privatize the operation with relocation of workforce and equipment.He said AAI the bids are to be opened on March 8 this year for the same while pre-bid meeting will take place in February.
