Idar hottest at 44°C, changed wind pattern won’t allow more rise in temperatures, one dies of heat-stroke

Ahmedabad: The temperatures across Gujarat today also remained more or less the same as yesterday, however the good news is that owing to changed wind patterns the heat-wave will not be there nor there be any further rise in the temperatures in next few days.

Idar at 44°C remained hottest while Gandhinagar with a maximum of 43.8°C was at second place in this regard. Ahmedabad with 43.4 was at third spot with slight increase in temperature.
However one person identified as Tejabhai Valjibhai Solanki (55)] a resident of Subhasnagar in Bhavnagar district reportedly died owing to heat-stroke. He had fell down near Green park from where he was rushed to hospital but could not be saved.

The maximum temperature in Ahmedabad was 1.7 °C above normal. The humidity levels also remained between 28 to 68%.

In-charge Director of met center here and Senior meteorologist Mrs Manorama Mohanty today said that the changed wind pattern would not let the temperatures increase any further. ‘Soutwesterly to Westerly winds won’t let the temperatures increase. During the next two days the temperature will remain similar and later it was likely to come down,’ she said.

The met bulletin has predicted some light rain at isolated places after three days.
