Crime Branch in Ahmedabad develops ‘Pathik’ software

Ahmedabad: City police has developed a software named as Pathik which will help police to identify the criminals staying in local hotels.

The city has 564 hotels and guest houses. Each of them will be asked to download the software ‘Programme for analysis of travels and hotel informatics'(Pathik). The hotel staff will need to upload the names, address, mobile number, identity card, period of stay and other details in this software. They will also need to upload the details of check out of passengers.

The city police crime branch will be able to view the details on real time basis, based on which it will keep eye on suspects who are wanted by police.

With success of this project, the police will not need to pay visits to hotels and guest houses for checking.
