Another Gujarat player shines at IPL Auction 2018: Jaydev Unadkat sold for highest Rs 11.5 crore

New Delhi: Yesterday Vadodara based Krunal Pandya emerged as the highest paid uncapped player in the history of IPL(Indian Premier League), today another Gujarat cricketer Jaydev Unadkat shined as he became the costliest Indian player so far sold at Rs 11.5 crore at the IPL 2018 Auction, surpassing the Rs 11 crore price tag fetched by KL Rahul (KXIP) and Manish Pandey (SRH) the previous day.
Rajasthan Royals bought the 26-year-old Unadkat on day two after bagging Ben Stokes for Rs 12.5 crore on day one.
Unadkat, was the Man of the Series last year.Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings engaged in a bidding war for the Saurashtra bowler. Rajasthan came in at the last stage with a hefty price. During the last IPL, Unadkat had finished second on the bowling table with 24 wickets in 12 games for Rising Pune Supergiants, striking every 11.4 deliveries while conceding runs at 7.02 per over.
Jaydev Dipakbhai Unadkat born 18 October 1991 was born in Porbandar, Gujarat on 18 October 1991.
