Ahmedabad:

BJP today held protest at the Congress state headquarter in Paldi area of the city against the indecent remarks by party MLA Virji Thumar.

Thumar had during an event organized by Congress supported PAAS leader Hardik Patel had used indecent language against BJP state president Jeetu Vaghani. He had during his uncontrolled and poor-tasted speech had said that he felt that mother of Vaghani (a Patidar leader) was not Patidar. He was referring to the refraining of Patidar MLAs of BJP from participating in the event.

BJP workers and leaders today organized protest against Congress at its head-office.

Senior party leader I K Jadeja and former Transport Minister Vallabh Kakadiya said that by such statement Thumar has insulted all the women of Gujarat. And by not acting against him for this kind of cheap statement, Congress has exposed itself.

BJYM state president Dr Ritvuz Patel also participated in the protest. Some of the protesters even tired to lock out the Congress headquarter. They also burnt effigies of Thumar in front of it.

Earlier CM Vijay Rupani also condemned Thumar for his statement. He said that Thumar and Congress party should apologize for the statement.
